Why Equine Photography?

Let me tell you a story about when I was young. Growing up, I had this love for horses! I had horse toys, horse posters all over my bedroom walls, anything with a horse on it I owned. The town I grew up in had horse shows and at these shows I would watch these magnificent creatures. I would stare at them with awe and admire their beauty. I wanted a horse so badly., but we did not have the land for a horse.

Today, I enjoy capturing the love between a rider and their horse. The bond they have to me, is so magical and beautiful to witness. Horses have this calming effect when you are near them. The smell of the barn, the whiskers near their noses, and I can’t explaining the feeling of looking into their big beautiful eyes and feeling their souls.

I have yet to get my own horse, but I have recently signed up for lessons! :)
